Totnes lies in south Devon in the south west of England.
The town has a total population of 8,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census.
The city experiences a maritime temperate climate and has sunny weather for most of the year. This charming market town has regular, bustling, outdoor markets in the town.
The Elizabethan market held here each Tuesday features several local traders and people going about their daily business dressed in ancient Elizabethan costumes. It is the 2nd oldest borough in the UK and has a number of historic structures dating back to the Norman, Tudor and Medieval times.
The economy of the town prospered due to its export of locally mined tin and wool. This was further boosted due to its advantageous location and the existence of a port.
