Stoke-on-Trent is a scenic city located in Staffordshire, England with a population of approximately 250,000 inhabitants. The city is a major tourist destination and is also known as Potteries, owing to it being the world’s largest and most popular pottery-producing city.
The climate in the city is of the variable variety with fluctuating temperatures. Summers are warm to hot whereas winters have a tendency to bring in the chill. Rainfall is moderate and snowfall occurs rarely.
Settled since ancient times, Stoke-on-Trent was incorporated as a city in 1925. The city was industrially inclined, famous for its pottery products. Even today, the city’s economy is dependent on pottery, iron and coal mining, which are also the prime occupations.
