Umberslade Baptist Church is a nonconformist estate chapel built by George Frederick Muntz in 1877 and is one of the last surviving major chapels of Birmingham architect.
There is a huge Gothic central pulpit inside the church with an open baptistery, lavish stained glass windows, a clock and carillon in the tower as well as wood furnishings which are still intact.
The Sundial is a war memorial built to honour the memory of the villagers who died in the two world wars.
The Wharf Tavern in Hockley Heath is a modern pub with comfortable interiors and splendid outdoor seating arrangements where visitors can enjoy canal side surroundings.
The other pubs, hotels and restaurants in the area include the Aylesbury House Hotel, the award winning Nuthurst Grange and the Nags Head. The nearby area of Solihull has a number of pubs.
Hockley Heath Pavilion is a recreational ground with a capacity of around a hundred people and hosts parties, seminars, fund raising and other events.
