Hagley Hall
Hagley Hall can be regarded as an excellent example of supreme achievement with regards to eighteenth century landscape gardening and English architecture. The credit for such a wonderful creativity would definitely go to George Lyttelton; who was secretary to ‘Frederick, Prince of Wales’. What not he was? He was also a Chancellor of Exchequer. Prior to his father’s death in the year 1751, he started landscaping the grounds; that too, in a novel picturesque way. He was solely responsible for having built the house which one can see today.
Gunpowder Plot was the most ‘famous’ event that had taken place over here. This was the 13th century; i.e. the period reminding one of Edward III of England. The hall which one can see now did not exist then. This house was said to be the most convenient one.
