The Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary is simply known as Worcester Cathedral. It is located on the banks of the River Severn.

This Anglican cathedral was originally built in 680. However, this structure was later destroyed.

The cathedral, which one can see in the city of Worcester, was built in the 12th and 13th centuries.

The magnificent structure of the cathedral is an important landmark of the city. Visitors can take a glimpse of the various sections of the cathedral's interior.

One can see the ancient crypt, mediaeval cloisters and Royal tombs. The royal tomb is that of King John.

Worcester Cathedral also has a Chapter House that dates back to ancient times. The sharp spires of the cathedral can be seen rising above the thick green surroundings.

Visitors can experience its immensity on entering the building. The walls and pillars of the cathedral are carved with scenes of wars and other mythical incidences.

The cathedral also has a well stocked library.
