Cleakheaton is a town in the center of the Borough of Kirklees which is a metropolitan area in West Yorkshire, England. It is surrounded by Bradford, Batley and is also connected to the town of Leeds. To be more precise, Cleakheaton is exactly at the centre of the Spen Valley. Cleakheaton was renowned as a mill-town earlier but now these industries have vanished. Like most of England, Cleaktown was at one time flooded with wood, but eventually better and better houses came up and today this town stands well-developed. Cleakheaton also flourished due to its vast natural resources, coal being one of the major products helped a great deal in the industrial revolution that Cleakheaton went through. The climate here is the most favorable for cultivation of crops related to the textile industry for e.g. cotton. The textile industry booms in this region with a lot of mills booming, and as the income was high more and more population gathered and filled this town up to its capacity.
