Cleakheaton has a vast history and so it as emerged as a cultural place of importance. There is a church named as ‘The White Chappell’ or nicknamed as ‘The Church of Ease’ which has gained a lot of importance in the religious sector. There are remains of textile-mills that lent a huge hand to make Cleakheaton what it today is. These mills are great to have a typical medieval view of that area. There are many huge and expensive structures built around the Cleaton Bus station and are a proof of the wealth and power staying at these places.
Cleakheaton also has a town hall or square for public meetings which represents a touch of unity. The world famous “Midget Gems”, a type of confectionary originate from this town and there is also the “Phelon and Moore” motorcycle and also some car factories. Besides these cultural and religious factors, Cleakheaton also exceeds in sports like football. There are many sporting organizations and many football leagues in this area.
