Inkpen lies close to the Hampshire and the Wiltshire border, in the south west of Berkshire in England.
Inkpen covers an area of about 1,250 hectares and has a population of about 850 inhabitants.
The village is remotely located since it has limited access and links to the main road network. This gives the village a distinctively rural character and most of the roads within the village are twisted, narrow and flanked by high hedges.
There are few roadside kerbs and pavements. The economy depends on agriculture and farming. When the weather if favourable tourists can climb Inkpen Hill for parascending and hang-gliding.
Walking, cycling and horse riding are some of the activities enjoyed by the local people.
The climatic conditions are humid and sunny for most of the year. Rainfall varies and is unpredictable though being in the southwest part of England the rainfall is relatively higher.
