Kingston upon Hull or simply Hull is the famous city situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire district, England. The city is situated on the northern bank of the Humber estuary. The city is named after the River Hull which flows through the city. Hull city is spread across both the sides of the River Hull and its junction with Humber.
The Hull city stretches across an area of 27.6 sq. miles. The city is densely populated with 256,200 residents as per the 2006 census. With such density, the city stands at 33rd place in the most populated cities list. Most of the population in the city is white, (94.9%) with 1.8% belonging to south Asia, 1.3 % from China and 2% from other communities.
Since Hull city is located in Northern England, it experiences a marine temperate climate. The area is subject to the mid-latitude depressions. The weather is highly volatile. The coldest month is January and August is the warmest month. Highest rainfall is experienced in November and February is the driest month.
