Lastingham is a tiny yet pretty village located in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire County, in England.
The village is located in the Yorkshire and Humber region of England. It was a monastery which was founded by St. Cedd in 654. The monastery developed further until the ninth century when it was destroyed by the Danes.
New constructions, like the abbey and crypt, were undertaken by Stephen, the Abbot of Whitby in 1078.
This region has mild winters and cooler summers. Overall, the climate is ideal for the majority of the time so travellers can visit at any time.
Although the weather conditions vary every day and in every season, the climate rarely turns harsh. Winter sometimes gets windy and therefore colder.
