Pudsey is a small town situated between the leading cities of Bradford and Leeds which are present in the Metropolitan borough of the City of Leeds, in West Yorkshire in England. Pudsey constitutes the villages of Troydale, Littlemoor, Fartown, Chapeltown and many others. The name of this town was derived from the famous ‘Pudsey Bear’ who is a mascot of the BBC marathon for children. It also has its local parliamentary constituency which goes by the same name.
Pudsey was famous for its gross production of wool of the finest quality. The town also earned fame in cricket as some of the worlds greatest cricketers that played for England and Yorkshire were born in this little town. Business is the main source of survival for the people of Pudsey. The weekly markets of Pudsey never fail to attract more and more people. Pudsey is said to be a town out of a fairy-tale as there are many stories and jokes associated with this tiny town and the people here have been passing on this information from generation to generation.
