Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is an international airport which is situated at the RAF Finningley airbase in South Yorkshire in England.
The airport is the 2nd largest airport in Yorkshire after Leed and handles 1.1 million passengers on a yearly basis.
The airport provides service to the metropolitan counties of West and South Yorkshire.
The flights operating from here include Thomsonfly, Ryanair, Air Europa, Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air and more.
There are several facilities at the airport and a part of the site is being refurbished as a business and technology park.
A Ramada Encore hotel chain is also likely to open near the airport in 2008.
The airport can be accessed by car, rail and bus. Doncaster station is just seven miles from the airport and there are regular bus services from the surrounding areas.
