Belfast International Airport is located on the northwest side at about 13 miles from Belfast city. It is adjacent to the Aldergrove village.Hence, it is also named as Aldergrove Airport.

Because of its status as an international airport, Aldergrove Airport is Ireland's 2nd busiest airport. In terms of area, this is the largest airport in the nation.

The airport connects 32 European and 16 domestic destinations. Some of the major transatlantic flights like Halifax, Vancouver, Toronto, Orlando and Newark are accessed through the Aldergrove airport.

The major airlines which land over here include Thomas Cook Airlines, First Choice Airways and bmibaby. This airport serves as a base for Jet2.com and easyJet airlines.

Other cargo airlines that land on this airport consist of DHL, Titan Airways and TNT Airways. These airlines connect to destinations like East Midlands, London - Stansted and Liege.

The airport is accessible from all parts of the Belfast City. Travelers can reach the airport by car, local bus or train.

Translink is a local bus service that works for 24 hours. Antrim Railway Station is situated 10 km away from the airport.

Antrim Airlink bus service connects the railway station with the airport.
