Old Bushmills Distillery
This is the only Irish distillery of the golden ages, they use pure malted barley for preparing its whiskies, in a range, which is inclusive of, a variety of malts, Bushmills Original, plus the 12 year old malt of Bushmills and Black Bush in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The distillery has now become a major tourist spot, with more than 110,000 tourists annually.
Giant's Causeway
This is placed over an area, which has about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, due to an ancient volcanic eruption. It is placed to the northeastern coast of Northern region of Ireland, is at a distance of 2miles from Bushmills. In 1986, the UNESCO, declared it as a World Heritage Site, in the following year it was been entitled as a National Nature Reserve by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. It is also ranked as the fourth natural wonder of United Kingdom.
The Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Railway
It operates on a narrow-gauge of 3 ft line between the old Bushmills distillery and the Giant's Causeway. The line is 3.2 km in length and has a temporary loop halfway, which is close to the River Bush Bridge. It was invented due to the enthusiasm of Colonel William Trail of Ballylough; he was not only interested in railways, but also had a keen interest in the technological developments in engineering.
