Aberdeen is well connected by air, rail, road and water and can be easily accessed from many places.
Aberdeen Airport has a huge helicopter terminal along with national and international flights.
The River Dee and River Don in Aberdeen have a number of bridges crossing them from east to west.
Aberdeen harbour serves ferries which sail to the Shetland Islands and Kirkwall.
The city has well connected rail service as well. The Aberdeen Joint Station has daily trains which run to Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as London.
There are 5 main roads into and out of the city.
The Western peripheral Route in Aberdeen, which is being developed in the city to improve travel, is backed by the Scottish Government in partnership with the council of Aberdeen and is said will be completed in 2012.
