Coatbridge is the home of "Scotland's Noisiest Museum" namely Summerlee Heritage Park which comprises a brainstorm into the life for people in the industrial Coatbridge. Drumpellier Country Park is a popular place for walking. The Time Capsule is a multi-purpose leisure centre. It has also recently opened a Showcase Leisure Park which contains a 10-pin bowling complex, a 12-screen cinema and several restaurants which have contributed to the attempts to renew Coatbridge.
Few diachronic landmarks include Coatbridge Leisure Centre, Peter Womersley 1970's modernist building, Coatbridge Municipal Library, Andrew Carnegie sponsored early 20th century red sandstone construction, St. Augustine's church and buildings, built in 1873, a red sandstone B listed Rowand Anderson gothic church, The Quadrant shopping centre, St Andrew’s Church built in 1839 early Victorian Gothic church by Scott Stephen & Gale Coatbridge railway bridges, The B-listed 1898 bridges span Bank Street, West Canal Street and the former Monklands Canal.
