Craignure is located on the Isle of Mull, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is the main ferry port and a village. It is situated on the East coast of Mull around Craignure Bay. On the South side of the bay, the original pier was constructed in 1894. The current pier was constructed in 1964 on the West side. Between Craignure and Oban, ferries run 6 times per day during the summer and 3 to 5 times per day during the winter. One can reach this village by buses from Tobermory and Fionnphort. On the narrow gauge Isle of Mull Railway, this village has a railway station. There are two castles called Duart and Torosay that are close to this village. Craignure is equally spaced from the two other main destinations for visitors on the island. These are Iona in the West and Tobermory towards the North.
The population of Craignure is approximately 200.
During summers the temperature soars to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but there is changeable climate.
