Drymen is a village which is situated in the Stirling district in central Scotland. Drymen is located on the western side of the Campsie Fells .It also possesses beautiful views of Dumgoyne on the east and Loch Lomond on the west. It is very well known for its overnight stop for hikers on the West Highland Way. The climate is quite cool here for most part of the year. It has an average temperature of about 12 degrees. Thus it is a good place to visit and live in. Due to its favorable climate the land here is well suited for cultivation. Hence, despite the growth in the number of villagers’ agriculture remains the major tradition in the area. Every year, in early summer, an agricultural show is held in the fields around the Endrick Water. Since it is a very small village the population here is just around 700. Eighty percent of the population are Christians and have their origin in Scotland, 12 per cent from England and rest of them from the neighboring countries.
