Holyrood Park is a royal park in central Edinburgh and was formerly known as the King’s Park. It has an array of glens, hills, lochs, basalt cliffs and such patches of whin within its 650 acres of area. This park is associated with the royal palace of Holyroodhouse and was formerly a 12th century royal hunting estate. Some of the attractions of the park include the Arthur’s Seat, Salisbury Crags, Samson’s Ribs, and St Margaret’s Loch.
