Falkland Palace

Since the era of the Stewarts, Falkland Palace has been a regal place. It was the royal residence of King James II. In the 12th century, it was used as a hunting lodge. Currently, the National Trust for Scotland manages this palace. All rooms in the South Range have been maintained aptly. There is a beautiful garden that surrounds the palace. Here one can find several unusual shrubs and trees, lush green lawns and herbaceous borders and a tiny herb garden. This palace is open for visitors from 1st March to 31st October, Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 17:00 and Sunday 13:00 to 17:00.

Callendar House Museum


In the Callendar House Museum, history is brought back to life. There is trained staff in period costume and surroundings and these two try to recreate the lifestyle in the past. Additionally, there is a History Research Center which has abundant archive material regarding Falkirk and the extraordinary heritage of the nearby regions.

The Enid Hutt Gallery

The Enid Hutt Gallery is an art gallery where one can find a huge collection of local and international art. This is a family run gallery and since 1990 a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild.

Photogold

In Falkirk, there is an art gallery called as Photogold. Here, one can find works by several artists like Jack Vettriano, Beryl Cook, David Rankin and Banksy.
