Kyleakin is a village that is located on the East Coast of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This village is in Inner Hebrides opposite to the Northwest Scottish mainland town of Kyle of Lochalsh. From Kyleakin, one has access to the mainland of Scotland by the Skye Bridge and the length of this bridge is 0.5 miles. After crossing this bridge and reaching the mainland, one reaches the village of Kyle of Lochalsh. In the past, this bridge had an expensive toll, but in 2004 this toll was removed and now the transport is free. The distance from Inverness is 126 kilometers, from Aberdeen is 292 kilometers, from Glasgow is 285 kilometers and from London is 977 kilometers. Although, Kyleakin is a remote place, it is astonishingly well connected. The drive from this place to Inverness takes just 1.5 hours, to Glasgow and Aberdeen takes around 4 hours and to London is approximately 12 hours.
