Larkhall is a town located in south Lanarkshire in Scotland. It is located on the edge of the scenic National Nature Reserve of the Clyde valley between the river Clyde on its east and the Avon water on its west. It is located at 18 miles south east of Glasgow. Larkhall is known for its support for Glasgow rangers.
Originally Larkhall was known as Laverockhall and was located just about 4 miles south east of Hamilton. In the late 17th century this town was famous for its mining, textile and weaving industries. Keir Hardie, the country's first socialist MP in 1892, was born in Larkhall. Larkhall is located at 55.74º north and 3.79º west according to the latitude and longitude. As per the 2001 census Larkhall has a population of 15,549.
