Brecon has quickly became a famous tourist destination. Of course, among the places to visit in Brecon, the Brecon Beacons National Park is the most important one.
Brecon Beacons was declared a national park in 1957, and it is a region with an extremely diverse landscape. There are mountains, river valleys, lakes, open grasslands, lush green forests and so forth that would account for a marvellous holiday away from the crowd.
There are many beautiful waterfalls in the park one of which is the Ystradfellti Sgwd.
The Usk and the Wye river valleys offer excellent trails for experiencing peaceful walks.
The park also houses a number of castles like the Crickhowell etc. Brecon Beacons is also renowned for its mountain biking trails that attracts adventure lovers in large numbers.
The Faf-fechan Reservoir surrounded by beautiful mountains is a great place for spending some quiet moments with your loved ones.
