The National Museum Cardiff is a museum and an art gallery in Cardiff. It is a part of the Edwardian civic complex of Cathays Park and includes the City Hall, Law Courts and the Welsh Assembly too. The National Museum foundation stone was laid in 1912. This museum was not open until 1927 and some of the collections are of pre 18th century painting. There is also a small collection of Renaissance art along with a tondo.
