Neath can be mentioned as a town as well as community located in ‘Neath Port Tabot, Wales, UK’s’ principal area. An interesting fact is that it stands on river which bears the same name.
This place, i.e. Neath has been served by ‘South Wales Main Line’ at ‘Neath Railway Station’ in center of town so far. Services go on to have operated to Cardiff Central, Bristol Parkway, Newport, Bridgend, and ‘London Paddington’ on the eastern side; and ‘Swansea’, West Wales, and Carmarthen on the western side.
Bus station is located at ‘Victoria Gardens’, adjoining railway station. Victoria Gardens is the place from which ‘First Cymru’ goes on to have provided inter-urban services on the direct basis to adjoining Port Talbot and Swansea. ‘A465’ executes the task of skirting Neath towards north-east; thereby having provided a ‘link’ to M4.
The population as of 2001 census was 45898.
Regeneration of land is on the agenda.
