Tourist guide Porth

Porth is a seaside village, situated near Newquay in the County of Cornwall.

Porth is also called as St. Columb Porth. St. Columb or sometimes called as St. Columb Major town is famous for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea water.

The North Coast is just 5 miles away from Porth. The total area, including the surrounding area is approximately 20.1 sq. miles. The highest peak in this village is the Castle an Dinas, which is 216 meters high. It is a densely populous area with 3,984 people, as per 2001 census.

The climate in the village is similar to any other town in Cornwall. The summers are warm and the winters can get extreme sometimes. Cloudy climate with unexpected rain showers are mostly experienced here.  

The main town of St. Columb possesses an industrial estate in the southern area. Porth is blessed with natural beauty and resources. Most of the streams and rivers originate from the eastern part of the village and flow towards the west.

Several rivers like River Fal, River Menalhyl and a small River Porth have helped to flourish the area. The village of Porth is surrounded by number of settlements like Talskiddy on the north, Ruthvoes on the southeast, Trebudannon on the south and Tregatillian on the east.
