Economy

Earlier, the mainstay of the Welsh economy was heavy industries. Today, the economy of Wales is dominated by the service sector. Farming is the dominant form of agriculture, where 80% of the land in Wales is used for agriculture.

Wales is one of the less expensive regions of Britain where the standard of living is high but the cost of living is low. A three-day trip to Wales will approximately cost £150.
