The Chawton house is the former home of author Jane Austen’s brother. This house is now a library and a study center housing a magnificent collection of books of over 9,000 volumes. The house is almost 400 years old and has 275 acres of land. There are also manuscripts which are related to the history and the visitors can get to see the library, the house, the estate and the farm of the 18th and the early 19th centuries.
