Alton Towers is a major attraction especially for children as it is the largest theme park in UK with legendary roller coaster rides like Nemesis, Oblivion, Air and Rita.

Alton Castle is a stone castle built by Bertram de Verdun in the twelfth century on a rocky cliff overlooking the Churnet River. The castle was a private residence, which was later converted into a boarding school and now is a Youth Retreat Centre.
St John’s RC Church is an old parish church built by Pugin as part of the Alton community in 1840. Weddings and Baptisms are held in the church from time to time.
