Moving around the city is simple as there are several private cars, buses and coach services available. Bath is well connected with a network of bus routes run by First Group, a bus service to surrounding cities and towns. The Bus Gate scheme is run with the intention of reducing usage of private cars in the city center to reduce the traffic. River Avon is navigable via boats. Bristol International Airport is 18 miles from the city and Bath Spa railway station has regular connections to nearby destinations.
