Bedale can be described as a petite civil parish and market town located in Hambleton district, North Yorkshire, England.
Bedale lies at the distance of 55 Km on the northern side of Leeds, 42 Km on the south-western side of Middlesbrough, and 11 Km on the south-eastern side of Northallerton. It stands at foot of ‘Wensleydale’ in Yorkshire Dales. Moreover, it’s popular amongst tourists throughout the year. More crowd is observed at the time of summer.
Originally, it had been in Richmondshire. It was listed in ‘Domesday Book’ as a portion of ‘Catterick wapentake’; that was split later; thereby causing Bedale to become portion of Hang. Thereafter, it got split once again in to East Hang.
