Bedlington lies at the distance of 16 Km on the northern side of ‘Newcastle’ and 7 Km on the north-eastern side of Morpeth County. The other adjacent places are inclusive of Ashington on the north-north-eastern part, Blyth on the eastern side, and Cramlington on the southern side.
Parish of ‘Bedlington’ went on to constitute County Durham’s historic exclave known as ‘Bedlingtonshire’ once upon a time. It has attained reputation for having given its names to ‘breed of terrier’; that had been reported to be the 1st saw in Rothbury’s countryside town in the year 1825; been bred by ‘gypsies’.
Bedlington has got proper bus links to adjacent Newcastle upon Tyne inclusive of X33, X32, X31 through Arriva. This is the place where most of the residents have employment.
