Paxton House was constructed by James and John, 2 brothers of famous Adam family. Country house of Palladian-style has been noted not just for elegant ‘Chippendale furniture’, but for painting gallery having delicate pastel hues. It has also been topped with glass dome. Robert Raid had raised Paxton House and library in the year 1811. Rosewood furniture of Regency-style had come from William Trotter, craftsman of Edinburgh.
