The stone bridge in Bidford-on-Avon is the replacement for the old ford across the river. It was built in the 15th century. It has been repaired a countless number of times.
The stone bridge is wider than a standard pack horse type bridge. This suggests that the village was an important river crossing. In the 16th century, stones from the demolished priory of Alcester, were used in the repairs.
The bridge features eight arches, which make it quite attractive. Tourists can enjoy the magnificent view of the river Avon from this vantage point.
There are four churches in this parish. Out of these churches, St. Lawrence, is an Anglican church, while St. Joseph the Worker church is a catholic church.
The Bidford-on-Avon Baptist church is a magnificent structure in the village. It is a family oriented, lively church. Apart from regular prayers and worship, the Baptist Church holds a number of social events. Some of the events are arranged exclusively for women and children.
