The Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery was opened in 1885 and has a collection of international importance which covers fine art, metalwork, archaeology, local history, ceramics, jewellery, Ethnography and industrial history. There are also children’s activities performed in this museum for the whole family. Some of the antiquities collections include coins from the ancient times through the middle ages.
