This statue of ‘Queen Victoria’ stands next to cathedral grounds; thereby having overlooked bus station. It was unveiled by Princess Lousie, Duchess of Argyll. The sculptor was Sir Bertram McKennal of Australian origin. The height of this statue is 11 feet. It weighs 9.1 tons; whereas the grey-colored plinth is as high as 14 feet. It goes on to weigh 30.5 tons.
Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery
This museum houses collections of Egyptian hieroglyphs, Christian icons, apart from those housed in previous Lewis Textile Museum. ‘Japanese Print Collection’ is the main thing displayed over here. It had been amassed by ‘Thomas Boys Lewis’. As such, many such collections would be found.
