During the hot summer months, what better thing to do than hang out at the pier? The Blacpool North Pier has an entire entertainment package suited for the whole family, from sunrise to sunset.
First built in 1862, Blackpool’s North Pier was opened on May 21, 1863 in front of 20,000 visitors. The Pier has since enjoyed increasing popularity by both locals and visitors who flock to the Pier as the ultimate summer destination where they can experience old fashioned traditional Blackpool entertainment.
The North Pier is home to a huge amusement arcade, children’s rides, restaurants, bars and a host of stores for shoppers looking to get the perfect gift from their Blackpool vacation. Entertainment at the top of the pier can be found in the Merrie England Bar, while at the opposite end of the pier there is a Sun Lounge and Carousel Bar, along with the world famous North Pier Theater.
