Blackpool is more than just attractions, shopping, and the piers – there’s an artsy side to the city that lets its light shine, too.  The Grundy Art Gallery is a great place to wind down, relax and enjoy displays and exhibitions born and created in this exciting town.  The gallery is part of Blackpool’s Arts Service, which develops and delivers arts projects that engage the city’s residents, communities and visitors in the arts, while supporting Blackpool’s arts community.

First opened to the public in 1911, the gallery showcases artwork from some of the area’s top artists including Craigie Aitchison, Martin Creed, Laura Ford, Gilbert and George, Augustus John, Peter Liversidge, Eric Ravilious, Lindsay Seers and Julian Trevelyan.

The Grundy Art Gallery is open Monday through Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  The gallery is also open on all bank holidays during the months of April and May from 11:00am to 4:00pm.  Admission is free to the public and parking is available at a parking garage near the gallery. For more information, call +44 (0) 1253 478 170.
