West Bay near Bridport offers the tourist a number of outstanding beaches to play and have fun along with a health and leisure complex with swimming pools, fun slides and amusement arcades for children.

One can enjoy fossil hunting, scuba diving, boating, paragliding and golfing at the West Bay.

Shute Barton is a non fortified manor house which was built in the sixteenth century and offers guided tours to visitors. The mansion has a Tudor style gatehouse, battlemented turrets and Gothic style windows in the house which has been handed over to the National Trust.

The Bridport Arts Centre displays a huge collection of art compiled by the local as well as other artists and is a place which promotes the development of the artistic community in the borough.

The Bridport Museum is a gateway to the Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site and displays the history of the Saxon period to the present along with the net and rope making industries.
