The Bury is popular for its thrice-weekly market, Bury Black Pudding, a local delicacy and tram/train service. The famous unusual modern building ‘Town Hall’ of Bury is surrounded by the beautiful green garden and was opened for Her Majesty the Queen. For entertainment the city has several music, theatres, museums, comedy events as well as art galleries which include a collection of the 20th century work produced by Constable, Lowry and Turner.
In the year 2008, the Mercury Music Prize was won by group of Elbow. In 2006 the government of Bury decided to remove the shortfall and sell the Lowry’s and develop a qualified status as well as new Social Services budget. Tourist can visit the Museum, Peel Tower, Lancashire Fusiliers, Parish Church and Silver Street which contain York stone and mid-Victorian architecture. Bury is famous for different types of cake like black puddings, simnel cake and other delicacies. About transportation, the people of Bury mostly use the bus services, train and metro link. All these station are located at the centre of city which is near to Bury’s largest market.
