The Botanic Garden at the Cambridge University is situated to the south of the city center and was first opened in the year 1846. There are more than forty thousand labeled plant varieties set in beautiful landscapes on a forty acre piece of land. There are several guided as well as self guided tours available of the garden and the main attractions are the flower gardens, a lake, birds, restaurants and cafes.
