Cheddar Gorge and Caves are caves and ravines, which have been a tourist attraction for more than two hundred years old.
There are several attractions here such as the Cheddar Man, which is the oldest skeleton in Britain, the cathedral like caves, a million year old riverbed, the Cox’s Cave, the Gorge Walk, Jacob’s ladder and more.
In the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company one can observe how Cheddar cheese is made in a traditional manner. The Cheddar Brewery is small, producing a fine quality beer, which can be purchased on site. One can also take a tour to watch the production of the malt.
The Toy Museum and Model Railway is a museum opened in 1996 in Cheddar Gorge and displays an outdoor gauge railway, car, lorries, locomotives and other means of transport.
There are a number of lakes and waterfalls in the surrounding area.
