The Alexander’s Jazz Theatre is a prominent place for rock, blues and jazz artists. The annual Jazz and Blues festival is held here each year.

One can enjoy the evening here listening to music and comedy performances.

The Cheshire Library has a huge collection of books and audio-video facilities. There are a number of educational functions and exhibitions held here as well.

The Cheshire Military Museum has displays and collections that are three hundred years old including the Cheshire Yeomanry, the Cheshire Regiment, the officer cadet school, the fifth Royal Inniskilling Dragoon guards and more.

Chester Cathedral which has excellent stained glass windows, sculptures and fabrics is an old monastic building built in 1092.

You can spend an entire day at the Chester Zoo which is the largest zoo in UK. There are more than five thousand animals in the zoo which are spread on eighty acres of large open air natural enclosures. The zoo has been playing a major role in the wildlife conservation program worldwide.
