Atherington, the coastal hamlet, is also included in Climping. The village lies at around 3 miles from Littlehampton on the western side.
The A259 road lies on the southern side of the village. The village of Climping is famous for several historic monuments, churches and other structures.
The village is sparsely populated.
Since the village is located in the South West region of England, it experiences a typical maritime temperate climate.
The air masses carry moist and warm air from the tropical areas. Due to such a climate, the summers are warm while the winters are milder here.
