Clitheroe Castle is the major tourist attraction in Clitheroe. The castle is considered to be the smallest Norman Keep in England. The castle is built on a 35 meter high limestone outcrop.

This is the oldest construction in Lancashire County. Clitheroe castle is the only historical construction which possessed a royal garrison. The garrison was built during the English Civil War.

Clitheroe is full of attractions. The Platform Gallery is located on the Station road. It is an art gallery that displays various pieces of contemporary arts. All Hallows Church is a historic property in Clitheroe. Whalley Parish Church is yet another historic church in the town.
