Colchester is a historic city in Essex, England and is believed to be the oldest town in Britain. Earlier known as Camulodunon, the city is noted for its Victorian style of architecture and vibrant culture. It houses a population of more than 100,000 residents and is an interesting place to visit.

The city enjoys a climate which is of the continental variety. Summers and winters remain true to their nature and rainfall is scant. It is sunny and dry for a major part of the year which facilitates tourism as well as agriculture.

Historically, the city dates back to the seventh century and has been a flourishing economy since its inception. Today, it has a broad-based economy with financial services, retail, electronics and printing being the major occupations.
