Dutch Quarter is an area in Colchester which is bounded by West Stockwell Street, High Street, Northgate Street and Maidenburgh Street. There is also St. Martin’s Church at Dutch Quarter. This church dates back to 12th century and was badly damaged by cannon fire during the Civil War in 1648. The truncated tower was never rebuilt. Moreover, most of the present buildings date from the 14th century.
