The Calke Abbey is a country house, built in 1704, with a park and a garden covering 600 acres of land. This Baroque mansion is a National Nature Reserve and has enchanting walled gardens, invisible corridors and underground tunnels. There is a stunning 18th century Chinese silk bed and a unique collection of antiquities, curiosities and artworks. The park has a number of deer and a thousand year old oak tree.
