Derby: Attractions and more...
In order to get a taste of the Derby’s beautiful architecture, visitors can head to the Derby Cathedral. The place contains many treasures like ten bells, an ancient nave and Cavendish brasses. It is also the third tallest church tower in the country.
The Derby Arboretum is a landscaped recreational area that houses beautiful statues apart from all the amenities like cafes, community rooms and sports facilities. The Rose Hill Recreation Ground is a famous play area in the park.
Displaying the city’s archaeology, geology and natural history through a large collection of artefacts and paintings is the Derby Museum and Art Gallery. A stunning ensemble of ancient porcelain is also on display in the gallery.
An unusual source of entertainment is the Derby Punx Picnic where the punk bands perform. This night festival features punks from all over the East Midlands.
