Dover Castle is known as one of the largest castles in the country and is located at the shortest crossing point to continental Europe. This historic building has even played a prominent role in the national history. Its origin lies in the Iron Age and there are also an Anglo Saxon church and a Roman Lighthouse within the Castle grounds. The castle is believed to have been built in 1810.
